Wrath of the Demon Lord – Arch-Ruin Annihilated

#1 Post by Drayke »

The Arch-Ruin did not merely exist—it festered.
Rising from the scorched wasteland like a clawed hand tearing through the earth, its blackened towers pulsed with corrupted magic. From its depths flowed endless demonic guardians, and within its vaults lay obscene wealth: more than 30,000 Black Gems and several thousand gold, stolen from the lands it poisoned. Though I command the Demon race in My Lands, this abomination bowed to no master. Such power, such treasure, could belong only to me.

Its destruction was inevitable.

For weeks I watched. Scouts vanished into ash storms, returning with grim intelligence—layered defenses, reinforced guardians, and a treasury so rich it fueled the Ruin’s relentless regeneration. Many had tried to weaken it. All had failed. The Arch-Ruin had grown arrogant, drunk on its hoarded Black Gems.

I answered with fire.

When the hour came, the sky itself burned crimson. I summoned my full demonic host: armored Demon Warriors formed the front lines, towering Destroyers marched behind them, and Incinerators crackled with barely restrained infernal energy. Allied demon commanders answered my call, their armies gathering at the edge of the wasteland. Banners of flame rose as one.

This was not a siege.
This was a purge.

The first assault slammed into the Arch-Ruin like a wave of living destruction. Firestorms erupted as Incinerators unleashed hellfire, shaking the outer walls. The Ruin retaliated instantly—guardians poured forth in terrifying numbers. The battlefield reports flashed rapidly: casualties rising, resistance extreme, but defenses weakening. Demon blood soaked the ground, yet no warrior retreated.

Pain is power.

I ordered the second wave.

Destroyers surged forward, their massive blades carving through corrupted defenders. The outer fortifications began to crumble, stone and shadow collapsing under relentless pressure. At my signal, allied forces struck from both flanks, trapping the Ruin’s defenders in a storm of steel, flame, and chaos. The wasteland screamed as magic detonated again and again.

Then came the moment we awaited.

With a deafening roar, the central defenses shattered. A breach yawned open, exposing the heart of the Arch-Ruin—and its treasure vault. My elite forces advanced through smoke and fire, cutting down the last guardians who dared stand before the hoard. Their resistance broke as quickly as their bodies.

Silence followed.

The final battle report appeared on my command screen:

Arch-Ruin annihilated.
Enemy forces: 0.
Treasury captured: 30,000+ Black Gems, several thousand gold.
Victory: absolute.

Where the cursed fortress once stood, only smoldering ruins remained. The Black Gems that had fueled its corruption now strengthened my empire. The gold flowed into my coffers, payment for blood and fire well spent.

I secured screenshots of the final battle reports, along with reports from my allied demon commanders who fought beside me in this decisive campaign. Each image bore witness to the scale of the battle and the certainty of the Ruin’s destruction.

Within three months of the annihilation, I posted this chronicle—along with all screenshots—in the proper forum section, as required. Once published, I sent a formal message via in-game mail to the Forum Moderator and the Administration, confirming the quest’s completion.

The reward arrived soon after.

Yet rewards fade.
Power remains.

The Arch-Ruin is gone, its wealth claimed, its existence erased. In its place stands a simple truth, written in ash and fire across the wasteland:

There is no darkness in these lands that can rival a Demon Lord who comes to claim what is rightfully his.
